Skate Norfolk and Macmillan Cancer Support

This Saturday, 30th April, the Skate Norfolk team is putting on a special fundraiser for Macmillan Cancer Support. We are inviting everyone to come along and take part.

The first session is our usual and very popular casual Skaterday session at the slightly earlier time of 12:30 and will finish at 14:00. During this session we will be doing our usual skating coaching and playing games. After that however we will be running a skating Disco, we have the lights which are being dusted off as we speak. We are going to have a lot of music ready to go. Maybe even a few of the disco classics as well!

Everyone is welcome to these either or both of these events, although we are planning on dimming the lights a little for the disco if we can find the light switch!

Not only will we have skating we will also have various stalls working during the day. The usual tuck desk will be there with snacks and drinks available. As its a special event we are drafting in some outside help as well. We will have Facepainting by Filigree Face and Body Art Norwich. For just £5 you can have her paint an awesome design on your face! £2.50 of each face painting is being donated to charity.

Not only that but we will have a bake sale with a delicious selection of cakes and sweet treats, a tombola, craft stall and more!

More information will be going out on our Facebook page.

Skaters at Thetford

Closed for one week only CNS Saturday 13 November 2021

We are sorry we are closed on 13 November 2021, as CNS school is using the Sports Hall for exams.  We are open again on 20 November and Jade will be demonstrating our New Improvement Grades

Each Skater can decide to do grades or not to do them, or do them one week but not the next.  They will take Skaters on a journey from Level One below to Level Nine.

Each grade is a small step but will make sure Skaters use both feet, build strength and balance.

There is not any extra charge for Skate Norfolk own tuition and grading

Volunteers required at our skating sessions

As a not for profit group we rely on volunteers, both skartes and others. For many, it is a great way to skate for free or learn new skills as part of a friendly team.  We do not expect you to make every week and we have somehelpers who do most weeks and others just help when they have the time. Volunteering can be used for Duke of Edinburgh Awards Scheme.  Need more information?  The best thing is to call in to see a session.  You and a friend can skate for free and we can even lend you skates. Or contact Ian  07879 402887 call or text.  info@skatenorfolk.co.uk  Message via Facebook  www.facebook.com/skatenorfolk
